Guided Float & Wade Trips

Full service guided float trips on Western Montana’s finest rivers.
We fish with two types of boats depending on the water being
fished. We mainly use self bailing professional level rafts with
guide model fishing frames. On rivers such as the Missouri we
will sometimes use McKinsey type drift boats. We fish the entire
Bitterroot from Sula & Painted Rocks reservoir on the upper
sections to Missoula on the lower section. We also fish the Clark
Fork, Blackfoot, Missouri, and Georgetown Lake. The Bitterroot is
famous as a “Dry Fly” fishery and our season usually starts in
March and runs thru fall depending on weather. We have a lot of
Stonefly action along with Mayfly and Caddis hatches. March is
famous for our first Stonefly hatch, “The sqwala fly”, and in June
the “Salmon Fly”. Fish species include ; Bull Trout, Cutthroat,
Rainbows, German Brown, Brook Trout, and some hybrid
Rainbows.
Finn Fetchers outfitting in conjunction with The Montana
Flyfishing Center offers full service guided float fishing trips. We
furnish a healthy shore lunch, non-alcoholic beverages and the
first dozen flys per boat. Casting and fishing guidance will vary
according to individual skill levels. Please consider Montana’s
unpredictable weather when preparing for your guided float.
Montana offers some unique fishing opportunities. Fish with us
for one day or customize your trip into a week long adventure.
A 50% deposit is required before trip dates can be confirmed.
Your deposit, payable by cash, check, or credit card, is fully
refundable 30 days prior to your reservation date.

** Snacks, soft drinks, and water are furnished on ½ day trips.
Full day float trip 1 or 2 people "No Fishing"..$250.00
Additional people , up to 4 total on the raft $25.00 each
this includes shore lunch, snacks, water & soft drinks.
We also have the capacity to set-up and co-ordinate large group
multi-boat trips for up to 10 boats & Twenty People. We can, for
these trips, prepare a fantastic shore BBQ with food choices
ranging from Hamburgers, Steak, or Chicken and all the
amenities. Let us put together your group trip for family or
business. There is also the option of increasing the number of
people if they are non fishing and want a scenic float. Fishing
frames can be removed from our rafts and capacity changed to 4
people.
What you will need for your trip
• Your fly rod of preference. For floats usually a 9 foot 5 or 6
weight with floating line.
• Pre determined fly assortment per current river conditions
(the first 12 are furnished) your guide will assit you.
• Leaders and tippet material 3x thru 6x preferred.
• Waders. (Summer month’s river sandals will work, but be
prepared.)
• Sun glasses are a must for protection from sun & flies.
(Polarized)
• Sun screen and lip balm.
• Your camera
• Rain gear
• Seasonally warm clothes
• Hat of preference
• Montana Licenses can be purchased at the shop or on-line
at the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks website
